Malaysia Airlines Enrich

Enrich is Malaysia Airlines’ frequent flyer programme. It provides plenty of opportunities to earn points and free travel, and has several tiers in order to suit any type of member.

Airline

Malaysia Airlines is Malaysia’s flag carrier airline, and is government-owned. It has flown the world’s longer non-commercial long-stop flight from Seattle to Kuala Lumpur in 1997, breaking the world record for “great circle distance without landing” for a Boeing 777-200ER.

Flights

Malaysia Airlines has its hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, with a secondary hub at Kota Kinabula. It also has headquarters at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Selangor. Malaysia Airlines is one of only six airlines to be given a 5-star status airline by Skytrax, and is also listed among Skytrax's Quality Approved Airlines. The airline has a strong presence around Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and on the Kangaroo route between Europe and Australasia. Additionally, the airline runs a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Los Angeles in the USA, providing a route to the States from the East. So, anyone flying anywhere in the East is likely to benefit from membership of Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich programme. Whilst Malaysia Airlines is a quality airline, it also offers its Everyday Low Fares programme, launched on 6th May 2008, which many customers on lower budgets will find very useful. Through this scheme, Malaysia Ailines offers 1.3 RM0 for all domestic routes operated by Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, its subsidiary. This provides low-cost seats that allow members to travel when they would not otherwise be able to.

Entitlement

There are four tiers to Enrich membership; Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Members can earn points in each tier which count both towards more flights and moving up a tier. Gold and Platinum members of Enrich are entitled to use the Enrich lounges, and members with lower tier membership are able to purchase entry to these lounges too. There are 14 lounges worldwide, all serving food and drink to members, and many providing business centres, slumber rooms and children’s creches to help make travel more comfortable, stress-free and productive for customers.

Points

There are a variety of ways to earn points with Enrich. Members earn points every time they fly with Malaysia Airlines or any of its partner or subsidiary airlines, meaning that customers have greater choice when choosing a flight; another opportunity to save money if there is a cheaper flight from a provider other than Malaysia Airlines. Additionally, members can earn points by making purchases from a variety of Malaysia Airlines partners. These partners can be found in all sectors, including many things necessary when travelling as well as every day purchases. These include hotel stays, car rental, credit/charge cards, telecommunications, spas, shopping, lifestyle products and Golden Holidays travel packages. Customers can also transfer frequent flyer points from other cusotmers’ accounts for a small fee, which means that friends or families can club their points together in order to make greater savings when booking flights.

Eligibility

Membership of Enrich is easy to get. The programme is open to customers of all countries of residence and ages, and there is no membership fee or initial one-off joining fee.
