Q Rewards
Q Rewards is the rewards program of the Bank of Queensland. Cardholders of most Bank of Queensland credit cards will benefit from this program and are signed up automatically. Being part of the rewards program enables cardholders to earn points toward everything from flight vouchers to gift cards to shopping vouchers and much more simply by using their card on every day purchases. These are just a few of the rewards that the program has as part of its competitive rewards program.
Details of the Program
The rewards program itself is free, so everything you accumulate is profit but just make sure your card isn’t costing you more than the benefits you’re getting. With the Q Rewards program you’ll earn between 1.5 - 2 points per dollar you spend depending on whether your card is in the Blue, Gold or Platinum category. This is a competitive rate and up there with other rewards programs.
Earning Points
Points are earned on any purchases made using your applicable Bank of Queensland credit card. Note that points on this rewards program are capped but the cap is high and won’t hinder or limit the majority of credit card users. As with all of these rewards programs, keep in mind that each point earned is nowhere near even a $1 in value and you have to have an enormous amount of points even for something very small. A $50 gift voucher alone will eat up thousands and thousands of points. So don’t get your hopes up for too many free flights but you may get some small benefits and the more you spend, the more you benefit.
Redeeming Points
Points won’t expire and can be redeemed in a conveniently wide variety of ways. You can spend them on travel (eg flight vouchers with Virgin & Jetstar), fitness, shopping vouchers and gift cards, electronics, homewares, ipods & accessories, charitable donations, cashback, theme park passes and more. Just remember if it’s flights you’re after, you’re not always guaranteed the flight you want as flights are always subject to availability.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the program you need to be a Bank of Queensland Credit cardholder. Usually requires being an Australian resident and being over 18 years of age.
