Skywards Rewards is a program operated by Emirates Airlines that allows members to earn and redeem Skywards Miles in many ways. Members have many exclusive opportunities, such as access to personal travel coordinators, wait list priorities, and special offers.
How to Earn Skywards Miles
It's possible to earn Skywards points in numerous ways apart from flying with Emirates or one of its partner airlines. Members of the program can earn reward points at participating hotels, car rental agencies, banks and other partner businesses.
Earn Skywards Points When You Fly With Emirates
Skywards Flex tickets are more expensive and members earn 100% of the Miles for that route. Skywards Saver tickets are less expensive but members only earn 50% of the Miles for that route. Members earn 150% bonus Miles for Emirates First Class and 75% bonus Miles for Business Class.
Members start at Emirates' Blue tier, move up to Silver, and then to Gold as they earn more Miles. Silver members receive 25% additional bonus Miles and Gold members earn 50% additional bonus Miles. Additionally, the Skywards Miles Accelerator offers bonus miles year round.
Partner Carriers Where You Can Earn Points
Members earn 1 Skywards Mile per mile with the following partner carriers: Continental Airlines, Japan Airlines, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Korean Air, South African Airways, United Airlines, and Virgin Blue.
Skywards Linked Hotels
At most participating hotels members earn up to 500 miles per stay, such as with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts. Other hotels offer 1 Skywards Mile per $1 USD paid such as at Emirates Hotels & Resorts.

The following rental car companies offer various ways to earn Skywards Miles: Avis, Budget Rent a Car, Dollar Rent a Car, Hertz, and Thrifty Car Rental.
Emirates Skywards Linked Credit Cards and Banks
Several banks offer various Rewards, including Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Citibank – UAE, and Standard Chartered Bank. Additionally, members can increase the rate of their Miles by applying for the Citibank Emirates credit card.
“Life and Leisure” Partners
Several “life and leisure” partners allow members to earn Skywards Miles, including Arabian Adventures, Danat Dubai Cruises, Emax, and Language Direct.
How to Redeem Skywards Miles for Rewards
To redeem Miles through most of Emirates’ partners, members must fill out the online form for partner rewards.
Spend Skywards Miles on Emirates Flights
Emirates flights require at least 10,000 Miles. Skywards Saver Rewards allows members to book flights, in any class, when there is less demand or whenever members will choose different flights for their destination. Members can only use Skywards Saver Rewards for round trips and must return within 3 months.
Through Skywards Flex Rewards, members can book flights, in any class, during busier travel times and on popular flights. Members can use Skywards Flex Rewards for both round trip and one-way tickets and can return up to one year later. Members can change travel dates at any time for no extra fees.
Members can also upgrade an existing flight using either Skywards Flex or Skywards Saver Rewards. A Skywards Flex fare requires fewer Miles than upgrading a Skywards Saver fare.

Stay at Skywards Linked Hotels
Marriott International and The Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai allow members to use their Miles for hotel stays. Members can redeem their Miles at Emirates Hotels & Resorts for reservations at Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa. Additionally, members can use their Miles for Skywards Gift Vouchers through Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts.
Use Your Points to Rent a Car
Budget Rent a Car allows members to redeem Miles through a Skywards Gift Voucher.
Redeem Points at “Lifestyle and Leisure” Partners
Many partners allow various ways for members to redeem their Miles, including Arabian Adventures, Danat Dubai Cruises, Ski Dubai, and Wild Wadi Water Park.
