Qantas Frequent Flyer Program Partners

As any member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer (also known as QFF) club knows, there are many ways to earn air miles with Qantas which can be exchanged for free flights, free or discounted seat upgrades, and many other benefits. The most obvious way is to book flights on Qantas, but flying on other airlines can get Qantas air miles too as can using a Qantas linked credit card to make purchases. Although there are other airlines that have deals with Qantas to allow you to earn Qantas frequent flyer miles, the following are also participants in the oneworld Alliance Airlines partnership of leading international and regional carriers.

American Airlines

Provides travel throughout the United States, with over 150 destinations there, as well as another 100 destinations spread across 40 other countries. American Airlines is one of the largest in the world, and hubs focus on North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America. AAdvantage is their own frequent flyer program.

British Airways

This airline is the largest airline providing international flight services, and offers travel to over 165 destinations in 75 countries. It is based out of London's Heathrow airport, the largest international hub airport in the world. However, its franchisee OpenSkies, offering continental United States travel and flights between London and New York, does not have a frequent flyer mile partnership with Qantas. You can also earn miles as part of the British Airways Executive Club.

Cathay Pacific Airways

This airline is based out of Hong Kong, and is one of the leading airlines providing flights in Asia. It has a reputation for excellent customer service, and offers flights to 70 destinations in 30 countries, including many of the most important destinations in China. Cathay Pacific run the Marco Polo Club and are also a leading member of Asia Miles.

Finnair

This airline is the largest to be based in Scandanavia, and is one of the oldest airlines in the world. It provides service to 60 destinations in over 30 countries, focusing heavily on destinations in Finland, as well as flights between Europe and Asia.

Iberia

This airline is based out of Madrid, and many of its destinations are in Spain and continental Europe. However, Iberia also has flights to 120 destinations in 50 countries, including 20 in South America.

Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines has 85 destinations in over 20 countries, and has several hub airports in Japan, where Narita Airport serves as the primary gateway between Japan and the rest of the world. JAL Mileage Bank is their own frequent flyer loyalty program.

LAN

This airline is one of the largest carriers in Latin America, and is largely focused in this region. However, its hub airports in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Peru also offer connections to the rest of the world.

Malév Hungarian Airlines

This airline is based out of Hungary, and is regarded as one of the best carriers in Central and Eastern Europe, offering flights to 50 destinations in 33 countries.

Mexicana

Mexicana is another of the world's oldest airlines, and is the primary air carrier in Mexico. It provides flights to 65 destinations around the world, focusing mainly on Mexico, Central, and South America.

Royal Jordanian

This airline is the main carrier in the Middle East, with 28 of its 35 destinations being located there.
